30th Anniversary Charity Auction

Anniversary logo2024 is a very special year for us, marking 30 years since the gallery was founded in 1994 by Andrew and Sylvia Brammall. They and their family did a phenomenal job of building up the gallery over the first 22 years. They created a business with a strong ethos of encouraging new & upcoming artists, alongside bringing in more established names. In both cases the key to success was selecting interesting and unusual arts & crafts of a consistently high quality. In 2016 when the Brammall’s retired, Paul & Caroline were pleased and proud to take on the business. We have retained the established ethos and continue to build up a range of art and craft that we believe is second to none.

To mark this milestone year, we think it would be fantastic to raise funds for charity, giving something back to our local area. There is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC) called Artworks-Art4All, based in Furness. Their aim is to take art into local South Lakes community groups, sharing art with a diverse range of people through events and workshops. They also have a strong focus on raising funds for local charities via their art events. You can read more about them here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/187554372928198/about

So, what we are going to do is hold a 30th Anniversary Charity Auction running from June 1st to September 30th this year. Our artists have been amazing and many have agreed to donate a piece of their work for us to auction. We will be inviting people to bid on these donated artworks, with 100% of the money raised going to Artworks-Art4All. The full list of auction lots will go live on our website in May, ready for the June 1 launch. We think it’s going to be a fantastic event, watch out for more details during May!
